OWH holds weekly meetings where we work to develop leadership skills, organizing skills, and political education.
We seek to build power among poor, Black, and homeless people so that we speak for ourselves in determining the needs of our community and how best to meet them!
For us, leadership development includes the work of healing from oppression and past trauma, which often lead to addiction and mental health issues.
Our work is rooted in a strong, supportive, loving community in which we actively care for one another’s well being.
I run a small rescue mission in Colorado and I would like to develop a day labor program. Our community does not have one it would really help the people we reach. Also, I’m very interested in your leadership development meetings. Can you help?
